Time to Change launched a February 2017 campaign to show he easy ways anyone can step in and support a friend by being in their corner.
The UK National Preventive Mechanism, established to fulfill the UK’s obligations under the
Optional Protocol to the UN Convention against Torture, published guidance on the use of isolation in detention in January 2017.

Citizens Advice Cymru published a report, ‘Work and health in Wales’, in February 2017. The report says that people of working age with disabilities or long term health conditions are also much less likely to be in work than those without disabilities or health conditions.
The UK Independent Mechanism published a report on the rights of disabled people under the CRPD in February 2017. It noted that “the UK and devolved governments have not taken all the appropriate steps to progress the implementation of the Convention.”
Praxis Centre for Policy Studies in Estonia, in conjunction with Cardiff University, produced a report on industrial relations and workplace adaption, ‘Supporting industrial relations in the field of workplace adaptation to enable the employment of older or disabled populations: Literature review’, in February 2017.

The report noted that “Recent years have seen an increase in the number of disabled people in work, but too many disabled people are still being left behind in the labour market.
The Jo Cox Commission on Loneliness was launched in January 2017. It aims to start a national conversation about the scale and impact of loneliness in the UK.
Action on Hearing Loss launched their campaign ‘Working for Change’ and corresponding report ‘Working for Change: Improving attitudes to hearing loss in the workplace’ in January 2017.
