On 1 April 2014, the EDR Research Network and King’s College London Law School hosted an Anglo-American discussion asking: Does ‘diversity management’ reduce discrimination?

In March 2014, EDF published a briefing for the Committee Stage of the Criminal Justice and Courts Bill on the implications for access to justice of the proposed changes to judicial review.
In 2013 the Equality and Diversity Forum Research Network carried out a survey exploring how research can support the activities of the equality and human rights voluntary sector.
Following agreement by both Houses on the text of the Bill it received Royal Assent on 30 January. The Bill is now the Transparency of Lobbying, Non-party Campaigning and Trade Union Administration Act 2014.

In January 2014, EDF submitted responses to the Fundamental Rights Review and to the Social and Employment Review that are part of the Government’s Balance of Competences Review.

In 2013 the Equality and Diversity Forum Research Network carried out a survey exploring how research can support the activities of the equality and human rights voluntary sector.

In December 2013, the Equality and Diversity Forum (EDF) responded to the consultation on alternatives to the Census.

The closing date for submissions to the JCHR Inquiry into the implications for access to justice of proposed judicial review reforms was 27 November 2013. EDF responded to the Inquiry’s call for evidence.

Equally Ours is a new initiative to raise awareness of the benefits of human rights for everyone in everyday life.

In November 2013, EDF, the EDF Research Network, and the Joseph Rowntree Foundation held a seminar to launch and discuss new JRF Poverty and Ethnicity Programme research.
