Business in the Community charter: Race at Work

Figures from the Race Disparity Audit’s Ethnicity Facts and Figures website and the BITC Race at Work Survey highlight that people from ethnic minorities persistently encounter significant disparities in employment and progression.

Business in the Community have launched the Race at Work Charter, in October 2018, which commits businesses who sign up to a set of principles and actions designed to improve the recruitment and progression of ethnic minority employees.

Equality and Human Rights Commission research report: Developing a National Barometer of Prejudice and Discrimination in Britain

Nearly three-quarters of people in Britain (74%) agreed that there should be equality for all groups in Britain, but one in ten (10%) people surveyed disagreed.

This statistic is from the October 2018 research report on the first national survey of prejudice in Britain in over a decade.

University of Newcastle report: Understanding Islamophobia

Scottish Refugee Council, Refugee Council and UNHCR UK report: A Journey Towards Safety

We recommend that the Ministry of Justice lift restrictions on legal aid in England and Wales for beneficiaries of international protection seeking family reunion.
