In March 2013, the Women’s Health and Equality Consortium (WHEC) published a briefing of the outcomes from its ‘Women’s Health, Women’s Voice’ local events.

‘The lies we tell ourselves: ending comfortable myths about poverty’ confronts the most common myths told about people who are in poverty or in receipt of benefits, and highlights some of the most abused statistics.
In March 2013 the Centre for Social Justice (CSJ) published its report: ‘It happens here – Equipping the United Kingdom to fight modern day slavery’.

In 2013 the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) published the first EU-wide study on Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). A public consultation on combating FGM ran until 30 May.
