This seminar addressed the connections between disadvantage on the basis of race, gender, disability, age, religion or belief and sexual orientation on the one hand, and income and class inequalities on the other.
The Equality and Diversity Forum held a series of seminars from autumn 2005 to spring 2006 to inform the two Equality Reviews announced in February 2005.
EDF held a conference in June 2005 to hear directly from the new Ministerial team about the Equality Bill and plans for the Commission for Equality and Human Rights.
On 25 February 2005 an Equalities Review to investigate the causes of persistent discrimination and inequality in British society was announced by the Government.
