EDF Seminar 1: Inequality, Social Exclusion and Class

This seminar addressed the connections between disadvantage on the basis of race, gender, disability, age, religion or belief and sexual orientation on the one hand, and income and class inequalities on the other.

It considered whether the different policy levers which have been used to address each can be brought together within one conceptual and policy framework, securing greater impact on outcomes in terms of overall reduction of inequality.

Speakers at the seminar were Professor Sue Yeandle, Director of the Centre for Social Inclusion at Sheffield Hallam University and Lord Victor Adebowale, Chief Executive of Turning Point.

The EDF would like to thank Linklaters for providing the venue and catering for the seminar
