EDF published a briefing for the parliamentary debate on Leveson Royal Charter proposals in the House of Commons on 18 March 2013.
EDF asks parliamentarians to ensure that:
- whatever form press regulation takes, the power to make third party complaints is given to the regulator;
- this power is backed by a strong code of practice that supports editors and journalists to uphold the highest possible standards of accurate and responsible journalism.
