In July 2004, EDF held a one-day conference to consider the Government’s White Paper ‘Fairness for All’ on the proposal to establish a Commission for Equality and Human Rights.
A reception with Jacqui Smith, Deputy Minister for Women and Equality, was hosted by EDF and the All Party Parliamentary Group on Equalities in July 2004.
In May 2004, EDF submitted a proposal to the Better Regulation Task Force.
In February 2004, EDF hosted a seminar to launch a report titled ‘taking equal opportunities seriously: the extension of positive duties to promote equality’ by Colm O’Cinneide.
