Joint Committee on Human Rights report: Proposal for a draft British Nationality Act 1981 (Remedial) Order

It cannot be right in principle that entitlement to British nationality still varies according to whether it is oneโ€™s mother or oneโ€™s father who is British, or whether oneโ€™s parents are married or not.ย 

This is from the May 2018ย  report from theย Joint Committee on Human Rights whichย examines the Government’s proposed Remedial Order to amend the British Nationality Act of 1981.ย
