The ban on age discrimination in the provision of services came into force on 1 October 2012.

‘Delivering the Equality Duty. Age matters in public services’ was published by Age UK in October 2011.

The Government Equalities Office provides a range of guidance to support the implementation of the age discrimination ban that commenced on 1 October 2012.

In September 2012, the Culture, Media and Sport Committee published its report on ‘Racism in football’.
