On 31 March 2010, the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe adopted a recommendation on measures to combat discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation or gender identity.
Following the Government’s consultation on Rights and Responsibilities (published in March 2009), the Ministry of Justice published a summary of responses to the consultation on 30 March 2010.
On 30 March 2010, the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission (NIHRC) and the Scottish Human Rights Commission (SHRC) issued a joint statement in support of retaining and building upon the Human Rights Act 1998.
The Joint Committee on Human Rights’ report ‘Enhancing Parliament’s role in relation to human rights judgments’ was published on 26 March 2010.
