The Fawcett Society have called for all political parties to advance equality between women and men in their May 2017 Manifesto for Women (pdf).
The Society asks parties to commit to:
- Equal representation in Parliament and local councils
- Defend women’s rights post-Brexit
- Close the gender pay gap
- End violence against women and girls
- Ensure women are not hardest hit by any economic downturn or spending cuts
