Equality and Human Rights Commission resource: Tips for Tackling Prejudice-Based Bullying

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) have produced a resource to help tackle prejudice-based bullying in schools. (June 2018).

54% of young people have been bullied at some time point during their time in school or college.

This resource aims to help schools to identify and prevent all forms of prejudice-based bullying; direct physical or verbal bullying, indirect or cyber-bullying based on the protected characteristics:

  • Age
  • Disability
  • Gender
  • Gender reassignment
  • Pregnancy and maternity
  • Race
  • Religion or belief
  • Sexual orientation
