EHRC report and guidance for the meat and poultry processing industry

A taskforce set up by the Commission has helped the meat and poultry processing industry bring about marked improvements in the way both British and migrant agency workers are treated, according to a report published on 13 November 2012 by the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC).

The Commission has published guidance on ‘Recruitment and employment in the meat and poultry processing industry. Complying with equality legislation’.
