Fawcett Society produced a report, ‘Sounds Familiar?’ on the particular challenges faced by young women in society in January 2017. The report noted that younger women felt more empowered to stand up for their rights and were more likely to be university educated than in previous generations.
The Mental Health Taskforce produced The Five Year Forward View for Mental Health in February 2016, making 58 recommendations to achieve parity of esteem between mental and physical health. The Government responded in January 2017.

The report highlighted that more than 160,000 children in England have formal caring responsibilities – and of these, 130,000 are missing out on support from local authorities.

Stonewall launched a survey for LGBT young people aged 11-19 in December 2016. This survey is being carried out for Stonewall by researchers in the Centre for Family Research at the University of Cambridge. The survey is about what life in Britain is like as an LGBT young person.

The Young Women’s Trust published a report, ‘Work It Out’, in late 2016, on effective employment support for young women. The Trust’s Work It Out service incorporates one-to-one coaching and personalised feedback on job applications to support young women in their search for work.
The European Network on Statelessness published its second #StatelessKids campaign infographic in November 2016. It explains how children get their nationality, why they become stateless and what states need to do to end childhood statelessness.
