Step 1 – Read about member benefits, the types of membership, how we develop policy priorities and positions, and the Code of Conduct. Then get in touch with us at info@equallyours.org.uk to arrange a chat.

Committing to working within the Code of Conduct is part of the application process.

Step 2 – Complete the application form, which asks for details about your organisation, mission, and alignment with Equally Ours’ values and goals.

Step 3 – The Equally Ours Membership Team will review your application to make sure that your organisation is eligible and aligns with our values, and that you’ve completed all the required documents. We may seek clarification about your application if needed, either in a meeting or by email.

Step 4 – The Board will review or approve/reject all full member applications. The CEO can approve associate and observer members directly and will inform the Board at the next board meeting, where the decision will be noted. If there’s any doubt about an associate or observer application, or if the CEO is minded to refuse them, the application will go to the Board for discussion and decision.

Step 5 – You will be notified of the Board’s decision about your application. If accepted, you’ll receive a welcome package and onboarding materials. If refused, Equally Ours will outline why. Unsuccessful applicant organisations have the right to make representations on the decision.
