The Welsh Government have launched a consultation on proposed changes to disabled students’ allowances (DSAs). They are seeking responses regarding the impact on students of the proposed changes. The deadline is 17 February 2020.
The Government are proposing to consolidate four different grants down into one single grant, with the aim of making it easier for students to apply and for Student Finance Wales to administer the grant.
In addition to this, the consultation covers the availability of a pre-arranged package of support, the responsibility for arranging support, and how to improve awareness of DSAs.
