‘Bridging the Divide?’: Launch of report on the integration of national equality and human rights bodies

On 16 October 2013, University College London (UCL), the Equality and Diversity Forum (EDF) and the EDF Research Network held a seminar to launch and discuss the findings of a study on the integration of national equality and human rights bodies titled ‘Bridging the Divide? Integrating the functions of equality bodies and national human rights institutions in the European Union’.

Participants at the event were given an overview of the study by its authors, Colm O’Cinneide, Reader in Law at UCL and Neil Crowther, Independent human rights and equalities expert. This was followed by a response from Evelyn Collins CBE, Chief Executive of the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland, before open discussion by participants and the panel on the issues raised.
