Runnymede launched the report Young Chinese Migrants, written by Professor Caroline Knowles of Goldsmiths, University of London, on 10 June 2015 in the House of Lords. The event, hosted by Baroness Meral Ece, was well attended, and highlighted the need to update our understanding of Chinese people living in Britain today.
The report is an important step towards greater understanding of Chinese people in Britain, and also indicates why policymakers need to respond better to the growing and increasingly diverse Chinese community, whether in terms of housing, employment, immigration, education or political participation.
