Runnymede collection on school exclusions and race equality

‘Did They Get it Right? A Re-examination of School Exclusions and Race Equality’ was published by Runnymede in 2010.

The collection, edited by Dr Debbie Weekes Bernard, shows that black Caribbean pupils are three times more likely to be permanently excluded from school than their white counterparts and argues that Conservative Party proposals to scrap excluded students’ right of appeal could disproportionately impact on black pupils.
