The Refugees Welcome Index results for 2016 were published in May 2016. The Refugees Welcome Index is based on a global survey of more than 27,000 people carried out by the internationally renowned strategy consultancy GlobeScan. The survey asked people: how closely would you personally accept people fleeing war or persecution?
The Index shows the United Kingdom with a rank of 83, among the most welcoming countries surveyed.
