PricewaterhouseCoopers report: Taking the right approach to ethnicity pay gap reporting

‘95% of companies we surveyed have not analysed their 95 ethnicity pay gap’. ‘ 75% do not have sufficient data to analyse their ethnicity pay gap’.

This is according to the March 2019 report (pdf) from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) on tackling the ethnicity pay gap.

Following the recent consultation on ethnicity pay reporting, PWC believe it’s important for organisations to prepare for how they will meet future reporting requirements. This report provides a proactive approach tailored to your organisation and workforce.

The report finds:

  • Taking a proactive approach that consults and includes key stakeholders from across your organisation can help you navigate these challenges and get a head start on preparing for mandatory requirements
  • This as an opportunity to build stronger relationships with your people and create an environment that embraces inclusion and diversity will have real benefits for your organisation’s reputation, talent and culture.
