Parliamentary report on Government’s new policy on consultations

On 10 January 2013, the House of Lords Secondary Legislation Scrutiny Committee published a report on the Government’s new approach to consultation.

The report calls on the Government to hold an immediate review of the Consultation Principles introduced in July 2012. The recommendation is made in the light of evidence from a wide range of organisations calling for greater consistency and transparency in the Government’s approach to consultation.

The Equality and Diversity Forum submitted a memo to the Committee in December 2012.
