We’re delighted to announce that, this Christmas, Equally Ours will be part of Advent of Change’s unique lineup of Christmas products that give back, alongside 47 other charities. The feel-good festive range comes to us , in partnership with John Lewis from Advent of Change, who pioneered the UK’s first advent calendar with a charity behind each door.

This year, Advent of Change’s flagship calendars are back, alongside brand-new products including candles and crackers, all of which will help support charities across the UK.

About Advent of Change

Advent of Change began with founder Kristina’s idea to reverse the consumerist nature of Christmas and bring back the giving spirit. The innovative social enterprise caught the attention of John Lewis and Partners, who will again be stocking the calendars in stores and online this year.

Since then, Advent of Change has been endorsed by household names such as Joanna Lumley, Greg James, and Lawrence Dallaglio, and has even received an award from the Prime Minister for its outstanding contribution to charity and the community.

It’s been a tough year for charities, with services more in demand than ever, while budgets are stretched by the impact of Covid-19.

Advent of Change founder, 28-year- old Kristina Salceanu from Warwickshire, hopes that these products can help. She said:

‘It’s been a challenging year for the charity sector which is facing losses of £10bn due to increased demand for services and lost fundraising income due to the Covid-19 pandemic. One of the main reasons I launched Advent of Change back in 2018 was to enable people to donate to multiple charities with one purchase, helping a number of different causes, and this is needed now more than ever.’

We’re also delighted to have been included in Advent of Change’s luxury scented advent candle, one of their new products this year, made using 100% natural wax with no parabens.
