Dipex Charity resource: Experiences of parents and carers of young trans and gender diverse people

Dipex Charity has published a resource on healthtalk.org on the experiences of parents and carers of young trans and gender diverse people.

The is resource includes a collection of personal stories in film, audio and in text format.

The resource details what people said about their child coming out as trans and socially transitioning, their experiences with GPs, CAMHS and school, being on the waiting list to gender identity service and experiences with the service, how they and their families felt about their child’s gender identity, support that was there for them, and where they looked for information about gender diversity and trans-specific healthcare.
