Action on Prejudice resource: Speak Up

YouthLink Scotland, as part of the Action on Prejudice programme, have produced a resource for young people on intervening in a hate crime situation.

The guide is intended for 11-16 year-olds, and as a training tool for peer educators/youth workers.

The guide teaches how to be an ‘Active Bystander’ when someone is the target of hate. It gives the reader methods to challenge hateful behaviour such as harassment or verbal abuse. The guide also addresses online hate, and signposts to further information and resources.
