Women Speak Out – film project on women’s inequality

Women’s Resource Centre is looking for women to appear in their film project Women Speak Out.

The Women Speak Out project is aimed at giving disadvantaged women a voice by encouraging them to speak out on video about the issues that impact their lives, and by putting their voices out into the media to challenge some existing negative media stereotypes around inequality. WRC want to encourage women to shout out and be heard, and also challenge decision makers to do something.

WRC provides the women with free media training so they know how to speak to journalists if they want to push their story out to the media, and we also encourage them to attend events where decision makers will be present, so they can challenge them on issues that affect their lives.
