The Ubele Initiative – a BAME-led social enterprise specialising in intergenerational community grassroots capacity building – has created a digital platform offering strategic advice and guidance on how organisations serving BAME communities can best adapt to the COVID-19 situation.
Research shows that BAME communities face immediate threats due to public health guidance and government financial support, which lacks nuance and culturally sensitive understanding, following a similar pattern to post-Grenfell response.
This new platform offers guidance, access to peer learning opportunities and webinars to support those at the frontline, serving hard hit BAME communities during the COVID-19 crisis.
