Treasury policy paper: the Spring Statement 2022

The Chancellor of the Exchequer presented his Spring Statement to Parliament on Wednesday 23 March 2022.

The Spring Statement and accompanying documents released include, among other things:

  • the Spring Statement Tax Plan, bringing together proposals to reform and reduce taxes over this Parliament,
  • policy costings, setting out the assumptions and methodologies used in the costing of policy decisions,
  • a distributional analysis estimating the impact of tax, welfare and public spending decisions that have a quantifiable impact on households,
  • information on data sources, setting out where data used in the statement comes from and how figures were calculated.
