The Chancellor of the Exchequer presented his Spring Statement to Parliament on Wednesday 23 March 2022.
The Spring Statement and accompanying documents released include, among other things:
- the Spring Statement Tax Plan, bringing together proposals to reform and reduce taxes over this Parliament,
- policy costings, setting out the assumptions and methodologies used in the costing of policy decisions,
- a distributional analysis estimating the impact of tax, welfare and public spending decisions that have a quantifiable impact on households,
- information on data sources, setting out where data used in the statement comes from and how figures were calculated.
