From 8 April 2013, the Public Law Project will be running a telephone advice line on civil legal aid. The line is aimed at advisers with queries about the civil legal aid regime under the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012, which comes into force on 1 April 2013. The advice line will cover all legal aid issues arising under LASPOA, including exceptional funding, scope, means and the Telephone Gateway.
The line will go live on Monday 8 April and will be open from 10am – 11am on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The telephone number is 0808 165 0170 and is free for callers.
