Runnymede research on BME pensioners’ poverty

On 1 October 2010, Runnymede published ‘Ready for Retirement? Pensions and Bangladeshi self-employment’.

The research shows that Black and minority ethnic people are more likely than the wider population to spend their retirement in poverty. The report highlights the ways in which self-employment – common among Bangladeshi people – poses particular barriers to having a good pension.
