Research report: ‘Elitist Scotland?’

This report looks at the social background of the people who run Scotland and highlights ‘that while those at the top of Scottish public life are somewhat more representative of the rest of the population than the British establishment is, those educated at independent schools and at a handful of highly selective universities are still massively over-represented’.

It was published by the Social Mobility and Child Poverty Commission and the David Hume Institute in December 2015.
