In July 2010, the Equality and Diversity Forum (EDF) published ‘Managing Competing Equality Claims’, a paper written for EDF by brap (a pan-equalities NGO).
The paper was launched at a conference on 19 July which discussed ‘Promoting good relations and preventing conflict’. The event was an opportunity to consider how to manage and resolve potential conflicts and inform the work of the Equality and Human Rights Commission on good relations. Approximately 100 participants attended, from employer, employee, statutory and voluntary organisations.
