Reception with Baroness Ashton

On 18 July 2006, the Equality and Diversity Forum held a reception for Baroness Ashton, Minister for Human Rights at the Department for Constitutional Affairs.

The event was an opportunity for equality and human rights stakeholders to hear about the Government’s plans for improving the delivery of human rights in the UK, and how this will be achieved through the work of the new Commission for Equality and Human Rights. The reception was very well attended by representatives of a wide range of equality and human rights organisations, all of whom welcomed the opportunity to discuss the human rights agenda with the Minister.

EDF would like to thank Garden Court Barristers Chambers for providing the venue for the event and Courtenay Griffiths QC, Joint Head of Chambers, for welcoming guests.
