Migration Observatory report on migrants in the media

8 August 2013 the Migration Observatory published a new report on language used by the British press to describe migration – ‘Portrayals of Immigrants, Migrants, Asylum Seekers and Refugees in National British Newspapers, 2010 to 2012’.

The report involved a comprehensive analysis of more than 40 million words used by British national newspapers to describe immigration and migrants over the past three years.
