Kick It Out published its 2015/16 statistics in September 2016, which reveal an small increase in reports of discrimination sent to football’s equality and inclusion organisation.
For the fourth consectutive season, Kick It Out saw a rise in the number of reports it received relating to discrimination, seeing an overall increase of 2.5% from the 2014/15 term.
Over 400 reports were submitted to the organisation, with incidents on social media seeing the most significant rise in reporting, up 18% from the previous season. There was a small decrease in reports submitted from the grassroots game.
