In March 2015, the Joseph Rowntree Foundation released a report entitled The cost of the cuts: the impact on local government and poorer communities, which provides the most up-to-date national picture of the scale, nature and distribution of the cuts to council budgets currently available.
This document considers how the strategies adopted by the council case studies included in the research, have evolved as the austerity drive has continued.
