The Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF) published Reducing Poverty in the UK: a collection of evidence reviews in August 2014.
JRF is developing the first comprehensive, evidence-based strategy to reduce poverty for all age groups and each UK nation. To help build the evidence, JRF commissioned researchers to carry out reviews of existing policy and research on a wide range of social issues that are related to poverty. The 33 studies in this collection are the findings of those reviews, and there are links to more detailed reports by the research teams.
The Foundation is also working with a diverse advisory group and a task group of poverty experts, some of whom have written the forewords introducing the different sections of this report.
JRF plans to publish its strategy for the UK at the end of 2015, with specific activity for Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland to follow in 2016.
