A fair deal on migration for the UK was published by IPPR in March 2014.
The report crystallises IPPR’s thinking on this issue as it has developed over the last five years. It sets out a new, comprehensive progressive position on migration, which IPPR calls the ‘Fair Deal’.
The Fair Deal is based upon three ‘pillars’ – public consent, a framework of principles and an evidence base – all of which are given due weight. In other words, it carefully balances what is rational, what is right and what is realistic.
