Institute for Fiscal Studies research on the impact of recession

Research published by the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) suggests that the better-off were initially the hardest hit by recession but now it is the poor who are feeling the squeeze.

‘The Short- and Medium-Term Impacts of the Recession on the UK Income Distribution’ by Mike Brewer, James Browne, Andrew Hood, Robert Joyce and Luke Sibieta was published in June 2013.
