Inquiry and report: Employment opportunities for Muslims in the UK

In January 2016, the House of Commons Select Committee on Women and Equalities launched an inquiry into Employment opportunities for Muslims in the UK.

This inquiry will consider what barriers to employment exist for Muslims. It will also look at the prevalence of discrimination against Muslims in the workplace. The Committee welcomes submissions from individuals as well as organisations.

The deadline for written submissions was 28 February 2016.

In July 2016 the Select Committee published their report to the inquiry. This report makes recommendations to tackle the substantial pockets of disadvantage that exist in this area.
