During 2018, the highest number of recorded incidents occurred in April and May, where there were 151 and 182 anti-Semitic incidents respectively.
This is according to the February 2019 report from the House of Commons Library on Antisemitism in modern society.
The report finds:
- The Community Security Trust (CST) in its 2018 annual report recorded 1,652 anti-Jewish incidents. This represented an increase of 16% on the previous year. It was also the highest total recorded in the published series (beginning in 2007)
- Most incidents involve abusive behaviour, which in 2007 accounted for around 60% of all incidents, increasing to around 79% in 2018.
- The CST recorded more than 100 antisemitic incidents in each month in 2018.
