Government campaign: ‘Disability Confident Britain’

In July 2013 the Prime Minister launched the national Disability Confident campaign. The campaign aims to encourage employers to become more confident about employing disabled people.

Disability Confident 1 year on: breaking down the barriers to employment was published in October 2014. This document explains what the Government has done so far and what it is planning next.

Disability Confident Britain: The Disability and Health Employment Strategy One Year On was published in December 2014. It highlights the performance of the Government’s employment programmes for disabled people over the past year, and the changes that it has made to improve services.

The Department for Work and Pensions provided case studies from the campaign in July 2016.
