FRA study of Muslim and non-Muslim youth in Europe

In October 2010, the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) published ‘Experience of discrimination, social marginalisation and violence: A comparative study of Muslim and non-Muslim youth in three EU Member States’ (France, Spain and the United Kingdom).

The report presents important findings about the experiences of young people, from both Muslim and non-Muslim backgrounds, that can be used by policy makers to address some of the key issues facing young people in terms of experiences of discrimination and social marginalisation, and how this relates to their attitudes towards and their use of violence.
