‘It took ordinary people a very long time to win the equality and human rights protections we have in UK and European law.
And in the Repeal Bill published today, our Government says ‘as far as possible, the same rules and laws will apply on the day after exit as on the day before.’
We are committed to working with the Government and civil society to ensure continuity of our rights to equality, respect and inclusion. We believe that these are best safeguarded through a constitutional right to equality.’
