Equality and Diversity Forum 10 year anniversary celebration

In July 2012, the Home Secretary paid tribute to the Equality and Diversity Forum at a reception celebrating EDF’s tenth birthday and honouring the individuals who work to create a fairer Britain.

Baroness Verma, Minister for Women and Equality in the House of Lords, spoke at the reception in central London on 12 July, which was attended by many of those who have worked with EDF over the decade to promote equality and improve human rights in the UK.

Sarah Spencer CBE and Marie Staunton, EDF’s outgoing Chair and Chair designate, spoke of the achievements that have been made and the challenges that lie ahead.

Sarah Spencer CBE, Amanda Ariss (EDF Chief Executive), Baroness Verma and Marie Staunton cut the birthday cake.
