On 5 March 2012, the Equality and Human Rights Commission published its review on the state of human rights in England and Wales.
The review looks at the evidence base for the rights contained in the Human Rights Act, using academic research, legal guidance, as well as work contained within the Commission’s Human Rights Measurement Framework. It brings together available data and other evidence to set out some of the priority human rights issues for action for the Commission, government, public authorities and others.
