The Equality and Diversity Forum launched their strategy for 2016-2020, Key to all our futures, in July 2016. The strategy sets out what the EDF intends to do to help bring about positive change. We will bring people together across sectors, disciplines, and nations; develop evidence-based thinking and solutions; and communicate those in powerful ways.
The strategy says: ‘We are living in a time of unprecedented political, economic, social and legal uncertainty, as the 2016 European Union (EU) referendum has shown. Equality and human rights provide the bedrock for a modern, forward-looking society where people can live and work successfully together. They transform lives by enabling people to overcome everyday problems. They drive organisations to put people first and respect our humanity. They remove barriers so that society can benefit from everyone’s talents.’
