Declaration on UK government progress since Girl Summit 2014

A cross-government declaration outlining the UK’s progress to end female genital mutilation (FGM) and child marriage was published on 22 July 2015.

The declaration outlines the UK’s progress on the issue of female genital mutilation and forced marriage since the Girl Summit 2014 and reaffirms the government’s commitment.

Girl Summit 2014, co-hosted by the UK government and UNICEF, in London in July 2014, built partnerships and galvanised the global movements to end Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGM/C) and Child, Early and Forced Marriage (CEFM).

One Year On highlights some of the inspiring actions being taken around the world toward a future free from FGM/C and Child, Early and Forced Marriage.
