Crisis policy briefing on the cuts to Housing Benefit

Housing benefit is vital in supporting people with their housing costs and in ensuring people’s housing stability.

In July 2012, Crisis published a briefing on how housing benefit changes are likely to impact on benefit recipients and families. This briefing shows that the proposed cuts will not achieve these ends, will adversely affect some of the most disadvantaged in society and are likely to lead to an increase in homelessness.
